Janet Kirsh Killian, RN, graduated from Bethesda Hospital School of Nursing in 1961. Following graduation, she worked at Bethesda Oak for three years and then for a Physician for the next 13 years, gleaning much knowledge from him.
She then went back to school and obtained an Associate’s Degree in Library Science. She has always been fond of reading and books; and hoped to work in a Medical Library, but that was not to be. She then returned to school and got a BSPA with a major in Psychology.
Ms. Killian spent the remaining years of her career as a Certified Psychiatric Nurse in home care and inpatient care followed by an MDS position in an Extended Care Facility.
Retirement finds her volunteering at Bethesda North, and loving it. Her other passion is sports and she is a member of the Rosie Reds.
