Mary Lou Horn-Turner—Class of 1987Reservations Coordinator

Mary Lou Horn-Turner, RN, JD, graduated from Bethesda School of Nursing in 1987. In addition to the diploma from Bethesda, she received a BA in History from Thomas Moore College, and a degree from Chase College of Law, and Certification in Rehabilitation Nursing (CRRN).

Her nursing career began as a staff nurse of 4-West at Bethesda Oak Hospital but transferred to Physical Rehab at HealthSouth Rehab in Edgewood, KY for the next 13 years.  In September 2000, she accepted the position of director of nursing and chief clinical officer at Gateway Rehabilitation Hospital in Florence, KY. She says this was an extremely rewarding position for her.

Since 2006, she has worked reviewing medical records for legal issues and reimbursement and worked in a cardiology practice.

In her spare time, Ms. Horn-Turner cross stitches and has walked four marathons to raise money for the Arthritis Foundation.

Mary Lou has been an active member of the alumni association and board member for several years.
