Ann Bertsche - Class of 1968

Ann Bertsche, RN, is a graduate of the class of 1968 and began her nursing career at Bethesda Hospital in 1969. She has held many positions within the hospital including staff nurse, charge nurse, and department director in Obstetrics. She has also served as charge nurse in the OB clinic and as Patient Care coordinator for Bethesda Care Centers and Fertility Center.

As the staffing coordinator and publics relations nurse, Ms. Bertsche introduced the first computer-generated staffing patterns which gave the nurses consistent work schedules.

Ms. Bertsche has been an active member of the alumni board for many years and is a past president and chairperson of the association.
